Shelves: ya, kindle, mystery

Poor high school student who is living with her half-sister suddenly inherits billions from a man she never met, but must live a year in the mansion with the rest of his family who aren't happy about this.

What I enjoyed:
* Hawthorne House sounds amazing and I'd love to visit
* Good plotting for the first book of a trilogy mystery - we got some answers and some new questions
* I liked Avery and the fact she had a good plan to save herself before this unexpected windfall

My fellow Book Bandit said to me:

"Kaitlynne, this book sounds perfect for you"

when we were talking about our current reads during a FB live... And I have to say... I agree completely.

I wasn't surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, because I adored The Naturals series, but then again, I've been having trouble connecting to books on a personal level lately. So it was a pleasant surprise JUST how much I ended up liking it.
