Shelves: a-kim-harrison, owned-kindle

I liked it well enough to continue the series. But I usually give a 3-book trial regardless. Maybe it was 1st book syndrome? Some things just didn't gel just right for me. I did like the fact that the 'lesser' pixies were elevated. I liked it a lot better than this review sounds...I just don't know why. Maybe Ivy and Keasley and Jenks & family. ...more

I like these types of stories with a lot of action and an “investigator” touch to it.

The world is a place where all the supernatural being has “come out” and humans knows they exist and I think Kim Harrison does a great job of portraying the different species and the suspicion and distrust they have for each other when they don’t understand each other.
I love how Rachel Morgan just keeps on going even when things look bad she never gives up she has a tendency to be kind of whiny through much of t ...more

This book is a 3.5. Don’t know why but couldn’t get into it..like into it in the beginning. I know -- most of the UF starting of a little slow but eventually will get better. -- But this one took me a longggg time. I think I was hovering above it and not really into it until the part -- when she went to Trent’s and got caught as a mink.
I hope that Rachel’s character would develop into something more substantial. She’s given me --kinda like-- a loser vibe in this book. I loved Jenks, the hot pix ...more
