I had a really hard time rating this book. It took me awhile to develop an interest in Rachel and what was happening in her life. I mean, I knew she had a bounty on her head and she was in grave danger unless she figured a way out of it. This was a good story. The characters (save for jenks) were flat. I hope the characters progress more as the story continues.
This book isn't a bad opening to the series. It still got a 3 ½ star rating for me though.
I am not sure what I didn't like about this book. There was a lot of action which I love in my books. I think I just don't like books where there are multiple plot lines going on with one person. (view spoiler) ...more

This is the first audio book I have ever listened to and oh my god. The narrator was absolutely amazing. I am so excited to start the rest of the series. Story wise, it was great. With this genre of book, some things are usually very predictable. But, I was pleasantly surprised with the way things happened. It was different and not what I expected.

Boring as hell.
Maybe I read this too soon after starting the Gin Blanco series, but I got very confused with these two worlds and that possibly affected how I enjoyed this book. I'll probably read the second one sometime, but for now this was just okay.
