It read like a script, quick action.....a bit like Da Vinci code style. It was effective narrative if not overly elaborate. The biggest problem was that Cade wasn't believable as a vampire. Oh, he was deadly to be sure...just silently threatening. Despite my ranting I could not put the book down and wish to know who will play super villain.

Blood Oath
is a fantastic opener to what promises to be a fun new series. I love dark UF and this was so new and different that it was a joy to read.

This was a very fun read. I love the snippets of the secret history of the US at the start of many chapters. I'm hoping a sequel is in the works.
