I really wanted to like this book more, but this is the second time I've tried reading it, and the first time I was successful in finishing it. It was more successful this time around but I was still hoping for more.
I like Anita Blake for being a smart ass. But there is something about her that I also find a little prissy and judgmental which would often get on my nerves.
