Oh my, this Elemental Assassin Series by Jennifer Estep is getting better and better by the book. I extremely enjoyed VENOM. I mean you have this amazing heroine that seriously knows how to kick some "bad guy" butt! Best in the series. The only part I didn't like was all the retelling that has to be done to remind readers whats/what or help new readers to the series.

Ownen is a much better hero match for Gin. Donovan Cain was good in that he helped us to appreciate Owen. Everything about Owen is like a puzzle match- that is cool. And he passes everyone of her tests. When you learn how they really met originally... ~~shivers~~. Perfect.

For the past several weeks I have been in a depressing reading slump. Every book I picked up just didn't grab my attention and I ended up setting them down, not caring whether I finished them or not. Venom changed that! This was the book I was looking for...one that I stayed up until the wee hours of the night reading...not caring that I had to get up for work the next morning. Shelves: vampires, fantasy, magic, assassin, urban-fantasy, paranormal-romance

For some reason I didn't like this book as much as the previous books, because the main plot and the fighting\killing wasn't as fun.
What I did like is that there is a new romance, Owen, hopefully he'll stick around cuz I like him more than that detective. And too bad that the romance scenes are so small. :< ...more
