This is one of those series where you don't think it could get any better and then it does.
Gin is supposed to be a retired assassin but it seems there is always someone who needs to be killed. I really like that she has a love interest who maybe she just might have a future with because he knows who she really is and doesn't let it bother him. Gin also meets someone from her past and is unsure if she should reveal to this person who she is.
Must get my hands on the next installment soon! ...more

For some reason I didn't like this book as much as the previous books, because the main plot and the fighting\killing wasn't as fun.
What I did like is that there is a new romance, Owen, hopefully he'll stick around cuz I like him more than that detective. And too bad that the romance scenes are so small. :< ...more

the problem with the series, for me, is that the romance is very YA: it feels like a 17-year-old's effort at adult fiction. While the action is decently written, the romance is so high school, and the sex scenes make me cringe. I end up skimming them out of discomfort. And omg, the repetition. So annoying. It's too bad. this series could have been so much more with a stronger writer. I have the next book and I can not wait to be done with it and with the series. ...more
