Roslyn is in trouble and the "Spider" must once again come out of retirement. Feeling responsible for bringing Elliot into Roslyn's life when she borrowed the attire of one of Roslyn's "girls" to get into a party, Gin feels obligated to help her out of a bad situation.

Letting herself be beaten to keep her cover, the story starts off on a very violent note, and proves just how strong a person Gin is. Air Elementals sure come in handy for healing. Wish there truly were some in existence.

This is one of those series where you don't think it could get any better and then it does.
Gin is supposed to be a retired assassin but it seems there is always someone who needs to be killed. I really like that she has a love interest who maybe she just might have a future with because he knows who she really is and doesn't let it bother him. Gin also meets someone from her past and is unsure if she should reveal to this person who she is.

Oh yes! I am just loving more of this plot. Such a fascinating magic system evolves in Gin during this book. Also familial ties, with her sister, are rekindled. Not to my satisfaction though, but I do suspect that it will get better. Hoping I can find the next book in the series.
