What Members Thought

I have to say that I'm impressed. WEB OF LIES has exceeded my expectations this time around and I am looking forward to zipping through this series fast. I have come to love these characters even more except *cough*DonovanCaine*cough*, I didn't think an assassins life could get anymore exciting, but boy, was I wrong.

Almost a 5 star book. Really really close. I am loving this series so far.
The characters are all great, the world-building is interesting, and the story just sucks me in. It's funny, I know Gin survives because there's at least one more book and killing off the heroine would be bad, but I get totally nervous reading about it and wondering how she's going to pull off another kill and survive it.

One thing that bugged me a little while reading this book was that there were so many repetitions. I understand the need to remind readers of what happened in the previous books, but there is such thing as too much reminding. It did pull me a little from the story. I know what you're going to say, "skip those parts". I've had some other people say that to me many times. But you see, it's the same thing, really, because I know why I'm skipping a paragraph. What an amazing book! I like this one as much as Mercy Thompson.
The first in the series, Spider's Bite, started SLOW. It took weeks for me to get 1/3 done. And then the Detective joined forces with Gin and the story took off. Kind of like when Curran met Kate for the first time. The world building was slow up until that point, and then everything fell into place and the story soared.
Definately start with book 1. The background helps.
