The dialogue is not good and I don’t like the mechanical way the story is being told. Maybe it’s the voice? Is it third person? I don’t know but it feels more distant than I’m used to. And we’re being given too much information. I don’t mean world building but personal feelings and conclusions that might be revealed with more care by a better writer. The way it’s done here leaves me disinterested.
2nd time reading this book.
I'm glad I finished it instead of giving up on the series.
I can't wait to read the rest of the books! ...more
