I've finally decided to continue on with this series, so I needed to read this to remind myself of what happened in the beginning.
I absolutely love Elora just as much as I did years ago. I will say I read some this time and then switched to audio. I was having a hard time with the written version this time around, but once I found it on audio with my library via hoopla, I started realizing why I love the overall story so much the first time I read it.

The dialogue is not good and I don’t like the mechanical way the story is being told. Maybe it’s the voice? Is it third person? I don’t know but it feels more distant than I’m used to. And we’re being given too much information. I don’t mean world building but personal feelings and conclusions that might be revealed with more care by a better writer. The way it’s done here leaves me disinterested.

I enjoyed it

Good fast read. I enjoyed the characters and the differences between this paranormal romance and the more common paranormal romances out there today. Traveling between dimensions and the commonalities and differences between them was a great addition. Looking forward to the second installment.
