All families have odd moments.

Nevada Baylor and Connor "Mad" Rogan are finally getting married. Catalina must step in to coordinate everything when the wedding planner is let go. Connor's overwhelming family brings chaos to the event. The crown jewel of the family tiara is missing, Connor's relatives lie, cheat and steal and someone is trying to stop the wedding.

I had no expectations about this novella except for an exceptional journey. Written mostly in Catalina's voice, we have insight into her power and her personal anxieties.
After various wedding planners have been fired, Nevada's sisters have been coerced into that job. Connor Rogan's family, (on his Mother's side), have invaded for the wedding of the decade, all with their own secrets and agendas. A family heirloom is also missing and Catalina is tasked with locating it.

Ilona Andrews can do no wrong!

We get a short story focusing on Catalina as she is both wedding planner and investigator for her sister's wedding to Rogan. This was really more of a mystery than anything else and a very good one at that. It was great learning more about Catalina and I always love seeing the rest of the Baylor clan. ...more
