After reading this novella, it seems like a promising start to a new UF series. Although to be honest the constant bombardment Jessica takes from meathead werewolves will get old after a few rounds if this continues in the same vein (let's have an interesting bad guy, please). BLOODED was an amazing prequel to Amanda Carlson's new Urban Fantasy debut, Full Blooded. This short story is the introduction of Jessica McClain and her world. She is a human female born to a werewolf, something that's never happened before. Werewolves are superstitious in her world and a prophecy exists that they believe her existence means the end of their race, so her life has not been easy to say the least.

I thoroughly enjoyed this little introduction to the series, it's one I'm looking forward to reading.
