True Colors is a short novella in Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series. What’s nice about this story is that you really don’t need to read the other Elder Races books to get up to speed. This story can stand on its own. It gives the reader a taste of this author’s world and her writing.

Sweet novella from Thea Harrison's 'Elder Races' series. One line (thought) from hero, Gideon, as he was doing the deed with Alice made me laugh: "She was so fucking perfect, he went on a hopscotch skip straight into the land of crazy"!

Nice story/novella set in the Elder Races world. None of the main characters from the novels are involved but it does flesh out some of the world and the Wyr races that we haven't met yet. The main characters are interesting and sympathetic. Their romance is actually quite sweet given that it takes place over about 24 hours during a threat from a serial killer.
