This book makes me so happy. Nalini Singh does a wonderful job setting off the new series arc in this long running series making it so those of you crazy people who aren't already addicted can jump right into this wonderful world.
My love of bear shifters can not be understated and the Bear Clan and hero here are AWESOME!
Silver is a badass and we have an amazing opposites attract romance. The baddies are interesting and the plot is as much centered on love and family as it is on the series drama ...more

I have a soft spot for Bear shifter romances, so I liked this one much better than the last few books. The leads were good together and the Bear's sneakiness was fun to read about. The novel also marks the start of a spin-off series, which is set in the same world as the original one. I'm certain the subsequent books will follow the same formula and that's fine. The spin-off is more of a new plotline than another series. ...more

***Please note that as I read an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) all quotes will need to be checked against the final version as it is still subject to change.

Nalini Singh has treated us to a fantastic ride inside the Moscow StoneWater Bear Den with Alpha Valentin Nikolaev leading the charge, as a gentleman bear whilst being as sneaky as a cat.
The reason for the sneakiness is Silver 'F*cking' Mercant, the woman he wants to mate, the Director of EmNet, a Psy still in Silence, Kaleb's Senior Aide, his Starlight and a fascinating mix of fire and ice. And a woman who gets because .... bears.

Not exactly sure how I felt about this one. The story surrounding the romance was great, because it builds on to he story that come before it. Still, I never realized how distracting all of he parts can be. I was so engrossed in the other stories that I never got distracted from the overall story like I did with this book.
As far as the romance goes, I didn't feel it as much as I did all of the heroes and heroines that came before. Still, it was nice to see Silver allow feelings to enter into he ...more
