This was a nice little revisit to the Kate Daniels world. One of the stories didn't even seem to fit into that world, but it was pretty good. I've had a little break from urban fantasy and it was nice to come back. ...more

The usual good Andrews book

Some new stories, some old ones, all of them were enjoyable. And most were funny. The Andrews' have an evil sense of humor, at times.

I somehow missed buying this when it came out.

Maybe because I'd read most of them before, not realising I hadn't read Grace - Small Magics, which was excellent.

And reading all the Curran POVs again, it'd been a while, makes me want to re-read Kate Daniels again and all those special moments.

A collection of five short stories from the amazingly talented Ilona Andrews team. The first and last story are definitive Kate Daniels' stories, and the first one, "A Questionable Client," describes the unlikely first meeting of Kate and the morally shady Samain. WARNING: There are major major spoilers for Magic Breaks in this book in the Curran POV set and the Jim POV.

Overall this a great collection and I really enjoyed it. I’ve reviewed each story on their respective book pages.

I don’t throw think Jim POV has its own page and I’ll read it after I finish Magic Breaks, although now the end of that book is ruined for me. Argh!!

The recipes at the end are funny.
