This is a great start to a new paranormal series. The action is pretty intense and I really liked the leads.
The heroine is everything I adore. She is fierce, flawed, and practical.
The hero is coming out of a very dark place but his love, respect, and like of the heroine endear him to me.
It is a sexy book with lots of action. Can't wait to read more in the series. ...more

I enjoyed Ann's newest series, a PNR that has great potential. There were aspects of this introduction installment that I didn't like as much as I'd hoped, but I do like all of the characters and I enjoyed learning about the world she's built.
There's a nice mix of supernaturals - shifters (cat, wolf, and bear), fae-like, and demon-like. I'm looking forward to reading about the (projected five more) HEAs to come. ...more

Pru and Dom
She is sent to bring Dom home. He has isolated himself for three years while he morns the murder of his wife. These two to both of their surprise bond. Neither is happy about it but know it is for the good of the pack.
Dom is the head of the Cats and he is needed back to help negotiate the new peace treaty. Nothing goes as planned.
Misunderstanding should be the name of this book as there are misunderstandings on all sides throughout.
