This picks up soon after the first book. Lucien and Stephen are still seeing each other, but both each have their own lives. Each have feelings that have gotten stronger, but do not know how the other feels. (Don't worry- they TALK in this one and are honest with how each feels).

Excellent second book
Lucien and Stephen must now test their relationship outside of their bubble and things do not hop smoothly.
I love a good pining romance and as Merrick (Secondary Character Hall of Fame candidate) puts it, Stephan has Lucien wrapped around his little finger, and the beauty of it, is that he doesn't even know it.
The action is entertaining and the mystery well built, a fantastic book all around. ...more

Not quite as good as the first one but still fantastic. I wanted the end game to last a little longer, or rather the direness of ine of the MC's situation.
I also wanted that part in the middle that caused suspense about the relationship to last more than a couple of pages.
But it was wonderful enough that I didn't even think about stopping and putting it down.

4/4.5 stars - God, I love this series. Really strong mysteries in a well-crafted paranormal universe - and starring two characters I have come to adore. Can't wait for the final book!
