Good start to a new series.

What I enjoyed:
* I really liked Sophie. She is strong, confident and caring.
* Puck!
* Nikolas was overbearing at the beginning, but he did learn to ask instead of order eventually
* The house was pretty cool (view spoiler)

What could have been better:
* The world building was a bit confusing. It didn't seem like there were ever any consequences for Morgan or his hounds.

I really enjoyed them and this expanded world from the Elder Races series. This book is a set up for that new series and there's some cross over and some new players. I have pretty much loved everything that I've read by Thea Harrison. She's easily become one of my favorite authors. Moonshadow, like the rest of the Elder Races books, was fantastic. Filled will lots of action, a complex world/magic system, and plenty of humor and snark. Sophie is definitely one of my favorite heroines. She's obviously a Hufflepuff with her unwavering need to do the right and the just thing. She's my kind of people. Nik was okay ... personally, I liked Gawain better but the MC ...more

Not quite as good as the start of the Elder Races series, but I still enjoyed this. The whole fae thing usually isn’t my bag, but I didn’t mind it here, probably because there were hot sword-wielding knights to make up for it. I definitely want to read more about them.
