This was started several times, and thrown under the coffee table just as many times. This just didn't hold the appeal as the first book did. I was really irked by Adam's behavior, and I really don't like the direction he is taking.
Ronan had marginal growth, but still can't relate to his situation.

That's all for now, until later.
Ta-ta for now!

I absolutely loved this second book in the series, almost as much as I loved the first one. The dialogue and writing flows so incredibly beautifully, I found myself shaking my head and going back and re-reading passages simply because they gave me so much pleasure. I loved the deepening of the characters from the first book. All of them are consistent but still growing and changing as they should. Perhaps my biggest disappointment in the book is (view spoiler) ...more

I'm still confused by the hype this series has caused. All I see is a boy in a toxic relationship - because I would be hard pressed to call it friendship - with the two selfish, always vitriolic pricks with anger issues. Quick-look at the Book

Cabeswater is awake, and our team of protagonists have to fight to keep it that way from those who'd harm it. Of course, Cabeswater will lend a hand...maybe?

Thoughts on this Book

There's something to be said about a book you've read in the past, and all you can remember about it is how frustratingly slow things happened, and that the humor was good.

Thoughts on the Series
You might like the humor--or find it racist in some places. You may even like the camaraderie and the pa

No matter how beautiful the language or exciting the action, I still have the hardest time following what the heck is going on in these books. Regardless, they are a lot of fun to read and I enjoy the concept and execution enough to forgive my own dumb inability to keep track of this whole Glendower/Cabestownorwhatever business.

Wow…so, so good. If you're at this point in the series, then awesome. Keep reading and then rest assured this is just as good as the first in the series, if not better. I was so happy to see the direction Stiefvater took and I'm eagerly anticipating the next in the series. ...more
