This is my second foray into the waters of Brandon Sanderson's genius. And it can only be called that. Genius. His stories are so incredibly crafted.
This book is a young adult book, but it felt more like a mature middle-grade book. Not quite young adult, but not completely juvenile either. There are definitely mature themes in the book, but the storytelling feels more middle grade.

While reading this book, I kept feeling as if it was set in the same universe as Megamind. I liked the movie — and also this book but in a very meh sort of way.

I've been reading quite a lot lately and giving everything from 2 stars to 4 stars for the books that have crossed my path. It's very hard for me to give out 5 stars because there's always something that is a deal breaker for me when I'm reading. I did not have that problem with Steelheart.

So this was my first Brandon Sanderson book. . The book is centered around David a young man who when he was a child saw his father killed by a Epic. Epics are people who developed super powers after a mysterious event called Calamity. David grows up despising everything about Epics. His main goal is to kill Steelheart the leader of their city.
