The world interested me far more than the plot. Loose ends left dangling eternally, back stories needlessly interjected, and writing that seemed designed to hold the reader at a distance. Most confusing was the decision to share information with the reader before the characters. The middle really dragged on but I'm so curious about where things are headed that I have to read on! Loved the side characters and the setting, and especially a male protagonist! ...more

I really liked this! I enjoyed Rachel’s thoroughly original take on a dystopia and I liked the characters and overall plot quite a bit!
