It's been awhile since I've read Ione's Demonica series (I have yet to start the spin-off). Aside from a handful of moments, I didn't feel like I was missing anything.
True to form, Azagoth on the surface was an asshole. He's also been used as a stud. I thought Lilana was good for him. She stood up to him and would not take his bullshit. Azagoth- the Grim Reaper is supposed to be this fearless tough guy, yet we never saw him being this scary dude.
I wasn't quiet sure why Azagoth couldn't leave his realm. He was an angel, so why was he made to be a prisoner of his realm?
Lily was an okay heroine, I did not like that she kept things from Azagoth. I needed more information as to why Lilly’s father was a sperm donor. How did that happen as he had a family and was mated?.
Overall an okayish read. ...more
