3.75 stars. Not really a review. Just some random thoughts.

I had some pros and cons about this book.

Pros:
Great series. I can't imagine I would ever not buy something this author writes.
Good to be back with Mercy and Adam.
Funny beginning with Jesse's friends' mother and all the pack listening in to the sales pitch.
Aiden is an appealing character.
Adam finally stands up for Mercy against his pack. YAY!!
Bran's reaction was interesting.

Yep, my first 5 star read of the year.

The Mercy series just keeps getting better and better.

I've only had two favourite urban fantasy books for this year; Marked In Flesh by Anne Bishop and Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs.

I read the previous Mercy Thompson book before diving into Fire Touched just in preparation of of its release. I fell in love all over again with the usual characters and the new editions.

The impact of the Fae declaration of war made in Fair Game has been visible in the Mercy books, but nowhere more so than in Fire Touched. Things are changing for the fae, and the return of Underhill and old powers is perhaps not the blessing they had assumed.
