Every re-read it still delivers

I'm always excited to read more of Mercy's adventures and this didn't disappoint.

I haven't loved the last couple of Mercy books (or even the last Alpha & Omega book) but this one was a return to form for me. Adam & Mercy are one of my favorite UF couples and I'm firmly team Adam when it comes to UF heroes but here their relationship really shines. I'm glad that we're getting past some of the pack issues when it comes to Mercy and I'm glad that we seem to have left the "every woman besides Mercy is evil" territory. Most people have a go to comfort food. Book lovers also have comfort books/authors. These are books that no matter what, they will deliver exactly what we were looking for. I have a handful of authors that fall into this category and Briggs' Mercy Thompson series is near the top. I know I will get a well told and well written story about characters I know like old friends as well as opportunities to meet some new ones.
