It was an enjoyable read - you can tell that it's an early Patricia Briggs - a street wise female lead and a male lead who's not intimidated by her. Magic and politics. It won't be a re-read for me like her Mercy Thompson or Charles/Anna series but still good. ...more

This book was just okay. I never became that involved with it and the protagonist was a bit Mary Sue. Not my favorite Briggs book.
