This was a slow starter. There was A LOT of stuff going on , but it tended to alternate between silliness and confusion ( my confusion). I really struggled through the first half of this book trying to get a feel for what the heck was going on. However, somewhere after halfway it really picked up.
The last quarter of the book was actually very good and I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one. This was a time where I was glad my OCD compels me to always finish books.

This is a solid 4 stars for me. Sorry can't help but comparing this book to You Slay me (by Katie MacAlister). I actually like this book better. Lizzie and the crews are funnier and edgier than Aisling Gray's.
The book grabbed me from the start and kept me entertain till the end. I immediately fell in love with Pirate. He's cuter and funnier than Jim (Aisling's dog). And the connection between Lizzi and Dimitri was hotter than that of Aisling and Drake.
