Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, and Linda Hamilton?!? I think they might have meant Laurell K. Hamilton -- bad copy writer, bad! Either way, those are some pretty big shoes to fill. Angie reviewed Owl and the Japanese Circus in more depth yesterday, but I just had to throw in my two cents as an avid urban fantasy reader.

One of the drawbacks to reading this genre is that it is still a pretty small, almost niche market. Many UF books also get stuck in tropes and tired stereotypes. It's hard to find a n ...more
