I enjoyed this introductory book to a new series. Each of the characters were unique and appealing. Although I found the mystery fairly thought-provoking and a bit disturbing, it was secondary to the character development (in my opinion). I plan to continue on to the next book in the series to see where this nearly deserted Texas town & folks go from here.
