What? WHAT DO YOU MEAN 2013?! That is completly unnecessary. There's also 4 books which IS NOT a good sign.

OKAY so I saw on a website: book two IS about red-riding hood but it's ALSO focuses on Cinder as she tries to escape Levana and learn her history. But it also introduces a new character named Scarlet who lives in south France whose grandmother has disapeared. - which is good because I would have cried if the book hadn't continued with Cinder.

I always feel like it's a good sign when the sequel is better than the author's first book. This tale is really improving as it goes along. The overall series arc is about the cyborg (view spoiler) Cinder and her love for the Earthen prince Kai and how they have to defeat the very powerful Queen Levana. It took me a long time to get into this one. I really didn't find myself that interested in the story until some where in the second half of the book. Once I was interested, I was hooked. It ended up being a bit more violent and graphic than I thought it would be.
