I wasn't really sure about reading this book when I started - I know nothing about rugby at all, and the game seemed to figure pretty prominently in this book. Even the cover art is dubious. Flawless--an exemplary contemporary teen novel with major guy appeal, humor, drawings, romance, sports, all while not shying away from tough issues. Tough, yet tender, sweet in moments, and hilarious in others. This is one of the best books I've read in a long time--a modern master along with John Green and Rainbow Rowell. Do not overlook this book--it's characters are unforgettable and you will enjoy every second. ...more

As Ryan Dean West would think, but not say, this book was fucking awesome. I highly recommend it to any teenage boy or anyone who knows or loves one. The voice is so true.
