After reading:

GOD DAMN IT PATRICK NESS. GOD. DAMN. ITTTTTTTT.
Well. I guess it's no secret that I'm obsessed with Patrick Ness's work and I worship the ground he walks on and yada yada. I anticipated this book for a long time and then put off reading it forever because ... I don't know, I guess I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to my expectations.
But I shouldn't have doubted, because this book was fantastic. Very emotional, intense, vivid, and engaging, and with a great cast of characters. T ...more

I was so moved by this book, I really wanted to write a review--but this one will be just a short quickie, as I can't write a full review without giving too much away!
I loved this read! I was so sucked into this world and trying to make sense of all the madness! I really didn't see the big twist AT ALL, and the smaller twists, I only caught a few. Love that! I had to give it 5 stars--it was a well written book with a fantastic suspenseful plot! I will be thinking about this book for awhile!

WOW. I loved this one! Review coming soon!

I literally just finished this book. Right now, I don't know what to make of what it makes me feel. The book will make you feel like...you're putting puzzle pieces together, and just when you thought you got everything on its proper place, Patrick Ness takes the edge of the puzzle, and throws them all everywhere! Patrick Ness is really a genius. Hands down! Fantastic YA. Everyone should read this!

What a strange book! I still don't quite know what to think of it or what was real and what wasn't but I guess that goes to show how wonderful Patrick Ness is as a story teller. I am not really into science fiction books and I really had to "just go with" this one a lot more than I usually like to do but there is just something about how Patrick writes that makes me eager to get the end of his books. This is one of those books that make you think and come up with your own conclusions so if you d

Wow - all I can say is that this is definitely worth reading if you are at all considering doing so. And this is coming from someone who wasn't really a fan of the Chaos Walking trilogy.
There isn't too much to say about this book without giving anything away. While the mystery of what happened to Seth is compelling, I loved the book more because what happened to Seth was just a backdrop for some really great storytelling about being human.

Sigh. I REALLY loved the Chaos Walking trilogy and A Monster Calls, but The Crane Wife was just...okay, and for whatever reason this one missed almost every Mark with me. I was left feeling...very little with this book. There should be a question mark after the title as far as I'm concerned. For the sake of an author I enjoy so much, I certainly hope so! This one was a dud.
