Where has this book been hiding since its release? I absolutely adored this story of 13 year old Doug and the ups and downs (way more downs) of his life after he moves to a new town. I will definitely be reading more of Gary D. Schmidt's books!

I loved this book! I listened to the audio book, and the narration by Lincoln Hoppe was phenomenal. I loved the strong, authentic voice of main character Doug Swieteck. I loved accompanying him on his journey of self-discovery and growth. I'm not lying when I say Doug is a character that will stay with me for a long, long time. Terrific.
