I honestly don't know what I thought about this book. It was very hard to get into and when it finally did pick up it still seemed like it had pages of useless information that really didn't need to be put there.

I figured out who was the bad guy and pretty much knew what happened to the missing girl way before it was exposed in the book. I think I would only rate this book a 3.5 at most.

Looking at the rave reviews for this book, the slow beginning surprised me. There was too much exposition and unnecessary details to thread through that made me wonder how the book became an international bestseller. That said, once disgraced, journalist Mikael Blomkvist and security, researcher Lisbeth Salander meet and team-up to solve the 40-year-old murder mystery, the book becomes the page-turner I expected, keeping me up until the early hours. If you can get through the first 200 pages, you will be home free. This book pulls at your interest with suspense and loads of mystery. Loved it! My only gripe was the names and locations were stumbling blocks.

A contemporary Crime Series for me to love at last. I've always been a big Agatha Christie, Conan Doyle, etc fan. But this is different. It's obviously a lot more up to date with current events, but it's more than that.

It's so involving, engrossing, I feel like running after Lisbeth Salander trying to hug her and help her out no matter how much she cringes from it. I'm gonna go on with the other two parts and I think I can safely assume I won't be disappointed. I can only be glad I stumbled upo
