Before I was even done with this book, I ordered paperback copies of it and its two sequels so that I could have them all. I don't do that for just any book, you guys. This was beautiful. And harrowing, and cruel, and heartbreaking, the way fairy tales tend to be, but most of all, beautiful, in the simple and honest narration by young Sorcha, Irish daughter of the fairy-magic-tinged forest from many a century ago.
