2. Read "Cinder Elephant" by Jane Yolen. Still opitional.
3. This is not optional. Stand up and do a happy dance while chanting -Jane Yolen Rocks! Jane Yolen Rocks! or Jane Yolen is Golden.

I didn't like the modern twist on fairy tales. I just don't. The last re-telling(The Twelve Dancing Princesses), however, was really good, and I give it itself 4 stars. The re-telling of "Swans" was enjoyable, and I liked "Falalda" was nice. For younger readers, there are some objectionable terms such as b**ch and mention of someone or other being "pissed."
