Loved Dmitri's story! What a fantastic hero. I'd say he defines the term 'tortured.' A bit of rough and tumble is never bad. Hope was perfect for him.
I actually thought it was a bit uncomfortable to read about Elena interacting with all of the seven, including Raphael. Due to all of the sexual tension that it seems she's had with almost all of them. Or did I just imagine that? I know there's this love/hate relationship between her and Dmitri/Venom. Idk, just thought it came across as awkward. I' ...more

I've always liked Dimitri I don't know why but I did. I liked how Honor wasn't sure how she would deal with the vampires but still did it not want to let those that brutalized her win. Anchangel's Blade I think was a bit more simple than the ones with Raphael and Elena. That doesn't mean that it's not good but I didn't find it as intense as the first ones. I love that Dimitri still remembers his life and all that he lost, and I'm glad in the end he was happy. I look forward to the next Guild Hun

***Big Shuddering sigh here*** Because this was just such a wonderful read. I didn't think that NS could top Raphael and Elena's story, but boy did she. I had tears in my eyes when Dmitri and Honor's story was told. Dmitri has been an enigma for the most part during the first three books. So I was surprised that NS was able to really bring him to life and boy what a life he had. Being a thousand years old, Dmitri has seen alot and become enured to it. But when he finds out what was done to Honor

It was nice to revisit this world of the Archangels - like getting together with friends. It was a good story - it was good to get backstory on Dmitri and I enjoyed Honor. But I admit I enjoyed some of the peripheral characters (and character mentions!) more - like ASHWINI!!!! JANVIER!!! I cannot wait to read more of their story and I was quite pleased with the mentions of them in this book. There novella Angel's Pawn is one that I do frequently revisit . Sorrow and Venom were also quite interes

Oh Dmitri...what to say...he is such a bad ass! But that he is so tortured...we've seen bits and pieces of his history in previous stories, but this one was all about him! Even though I figured out the bulk of the history part, it still unfolded in a wonderful way. Honor is a good fit for someone like Dmitri...I like that even though she's attracted to him, she won't be steam rolled by him either! And again, even though the big reveal at the end wasn't a surprise, I was blown away by the pure em

I've always been intrigued by Dmitri's character throughout the series but then that's true of all Raphael's Seven. I'm glad Nalini has chosen to change the main focus from Elena & Raphael to the other character's so we can learn more about them.
Honor & Dmitri are so good together, I really believe they can help each other heal. It's amazing how good a tortured bad boy can be when it's well written. This one definetly tugged at the heart strings and there was even a tear... or four! ...more
