Good story, a little too violent sometimes.

2nd read: I liked this even better this time!

Loved Dmitri's story! What a fantastic hero. I'd say he defines the term 'tortured.' A bit of rough and tumble is never bad. Hope was perfect for him.
I actually thought it was a bit uncomfortable to read about Elena interacting with all of the seven, including Raphael. Due to all of the sexual tension that it seems she's had with almost all of them. Or did I just imagine that? I know there's this love/hate relationship between her and Dmitri/Venom. Idk, just thought it came across as awkward. I'

I've always liked Dimitri I don't know why but I did. I liked how Honor wasn't sure how she would deal with the vampires but still did it not want to let those that brutalized her win. Anchangel's Blade I think was a bit more simple than the ones with Raphael and Elena. That doesn't mean that it's not good but I didn't find it as intense as the first ones. I love that Dimitri still remembers his life and all that he lost, and I'm glad in the end he was happy. I look forward to the next Guild Hun ...more

Def a 4 star, maybe even a 4.5! Nalini Singh is such a talented author, both in her fertile imagination and worldbuilding and with her smooth but exciting writing style. Archangel's Blade is Dmitri's story; he is a 1,000 yr old vampire and Archangel Raphael's Second. In previous books, he is shown to be inhuman, cruel and unaccepting of Elena as Raphael's consort (she makes him weak). He is also darkly sexual, probably kinky and attracts everyone with his sensuality and pheromenes. Who knows why ...more

Loved this book! Until this book I was not a big fan of Dmitri. I didn't like the way he taunted Elena in the other books with his scent. Now, I know he was doing it for her protection since he is not the only vampire who has that ability.

This was a very violent book. The most violent of all of the Guild Hunter books. It was also, quite possibly, the saddest of them all, although, with a happy ending.

A dark storyline that reads like a crime novel with bite (sorry for the sappy vampire pun). As always with Nalini Singh the romance is front and center and holds your attention to the end.

I've always been intrigued by Dmitri's character throughout the series but then that's true of all Raphael's Seven. I'm glad Nalini has chosen to change the main focus from Elena & Raphael to the other character's so we can learn more about them.

Honor & Dmitri are so good together, I really believe they can help each other heal. It's amazing how good a tortured bad boy can be when it's well written. This one definetly tugged at the heart strings and there was even a tear... or four!
