I liked books 1 & 2 well enough but books 3 & now 4 really up the emotional stakes in this series. It's definitely now one of my top UF series (with Mercy and Dresden). Kate's background becomes a main focus in this one as it's a family member who's the big bad. It's been interesting watching Kate get more emotionally involved with everyone. I forget sometimes what a loner she was in the first book. But with that involvement with Julie or Andrea or (especially) Curran comes risks for Kate and ev

This series is really one of the best ! I loved, loved, loved this book! There was a lot more Curran in the book but hopefully the next book will haven even more . There is never enough Curran for me ! The only thing that I could say negative about this book is there was a few boring spots concerning the back story of Erra . I just didn't find it very interesting and thought it could have been shortened a little bit although it was totally necessary for the story. I love Ilona Andrew's style of

This book just made me smile. Everything that I was hoping for was there in the book. I learned more about Kate's family, the relationship status between Kate and Curran was revealed, there was progression, the supporting cast was amazing, and the wit and funny was still there . I felt like Kate grew up in this book. She faced some major issues; family, friends, love, and responsibility. I really enjoyed this book: I've been waiting for it for months, wanting to know what happens between Curran and Kate!!! I love the play between them in this book! Especially the ending (I won't go into it, I don't want to get into details) where the whole alpha issue comes up! :-) And Curran is awesome... I want one like him! :-)
BTW, is it me, or does anyone else place him in the same category as Roarke in the In Death series? They remind me of one another in the treatment of their women (both ...more

I am even more in love with this series after reading this book. I keep thinking I'm going to want to read something light and fluffy before I tackle the next book, but then I finish the book, and I have to read the next so I can have more of Kate, Curran, Derek, Jim, Dali, Julie, even Samhian (spelling???) I just love these books! And I ♥ Curran!

I could not remember if I had read this so I checked it out from the library. Great addition to the series and we get to see Kate and Curran take the next step in their relationship. It isn't simple though so I know that there will be more obsticles before they get their HEA. I loved Derrick in this book as well. So hope we get more about him. Looking forward to the next book. I must say that this husband and wife pairing really can write great stuff and I have yet to read something by them I ha
