 Danielle The Book Huntress
Third Reread Completed in September 2020.

I listened to this on Audio, and I think I finished in a few days. That's just how fantastic this book is. This book helped get me into paranormal romance, and I haven't looked back since. The narrator, Robert Petkoff's work is a thing of beauty. His Scottish accent is flawless. His Eastern European accents are excellent. I found his accent for Emmaline interesting, almost like an 19th Century, highly educated Southern accent. That makes sense, she is chr

What do you do when those who know you best call you "Emma the Timid"; and they're right! Emma is half Vampire and half Valkyrie and raised by the Valkyries. She is on her own for the first time only to have it all go wrong - first she can't find the information she's looking for, the blood dealer she's using disappears, and then she's kidnapped by an immortal, half-insane Lykae [werewolf:] who says she's his lifemate... Captured by vampires and tortured for years has driven Lachlai

Continuing the story of the New Orleans coven of Valkyrie sisters, this one finds our new heroine Emmaline Troy in Paris, researching her parentage. Despite such awesome parentage, Emma is a wilting flower, scared of her shadow and cowardly. She flinches, she weeps, she cries pink tears. Desp ...more

Emma and Lachlain

This was an audio reread. I would lower it to 3 stars after my reread. I found Emma to be a judgmental witch this time. And a weakling. I wonder what changed....

The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star for me was Emma and her Indecisiveness. I kept thinking COME ON!! make a decision and stick with it!

This had me from the beginning. The story kept moving and the different lore "creatures" were amazing. I didn't want to put it down. ...more
