They only made it to an empty hall before he pressed her against the wall, cupped her neck, and demanded once again, “You’ll stay with me?” “Always.”

A HUNGER LIKE NO OTHER was a big surprise, because under that horrible cover and title there is something amazing inside this book. A beautifully written story that I came to absolutely love. I guess I should always remind myself not to judge a book by its cover.

Lachlain was a dominant, controlling hero whereas Emma was yet another shy and timid heroine (Umm...at the beginning at least.) And as I said before, I’m a huge fan of dominant heroes. So, if other Immortals after Dark’s leading men are anything like him or Wroth, I'll gladly read every book from this series.

Why did I give it 4 stars? While first chapters were hot, interesting and quite exciting, most scenes after page 150+ were somehow…slow-moving. Only when−SPOILERS−she and that vampire traced ...more

A word of caution to those readers with sensitivities towards dubious consent where the body might be willing, but the mind not so much. This is one of Emmaline's biggest struggles where her mind and body are at war with each other. She knows she should hate the Lykae and be especially suspicious with the one who has managed to both take her captive and completely captivate her at the same time and it's a struggle that many times tows the line of not only dubious consent, but also that love/hate ...more
