What Members Thought

I loved Aeron and Olivia. He, the fierce tattooed warrior who risks himself to save those that he loves, and she the fallen angel who gave up everything for the man she loved. What could be a better premise for a love story? I'm probably in the minority when I say that I enjoyed Legion. At first I thought she was a bad knock off of Acheron's Simi, but then her character totally changed, making things really interesting. I'm not really sure where Ms. Showalter is going with Gilly's attraction to

I originally reviewed The Darkest Passion on my first blog (Mrs. Papillion, aka The Book Worm) back in 2010. I’m rereading the series from the beginning and rewriting my book review for this book. My rating remains the same: five stars, which I wish I could give more because I loved Aeron and Olivia’s story.
Aeron is another Lord, like Sabin, who I didn’t like at first, but after reading The Darkest Passion, I understood him a lot better. He cares d ...more

WoW. Just wow.
Aeron was never ever my favorite hero, so when I found out that the fifth Lords of The Underworld book will be for him I was like :
Me: Why won't it be for Paris or William, why won't it be Toriin ???
*wipes eyes, blows nose into hanky*
Gena Showalter: Their turn will come soon. Every one of my men will find himself a lovely lady.
Me: Will the next book be about one of those three?
Gena Showalter: No it will be about Gideon.
Me: Nooooo!
*wipes eyes, blows nose into hanky again*

To be fair, this wasn't a dreadful book. If it had been the first book by Showalter which I'd read, or the first one which disappointed me, I'd almost certainly have finished it. Unfortunately, it was the fourth book in a row by Showalter which has left me unimpressed. I simply no longer cared. (view spoiler)

GREAT!!!! I really loved it! 5 STARS PLUS!!!! This installment in the series really threw some kinks into the mix. Lots of new developments and twist you never saw coming. Though the book lacked some of the steamy scenes I have come to expect from the Lords it did not disappoint. The overall storyline just keeps getting better and better. Showalter has done an excellent job of putting her own spin on religion and mythology. LOVE IT!
