I don't know how I feel about Gwen. Usually I like if the heroine is a little timid and then toughens up but I'm still on the fence with her. I mean, being a Harpie is in her blood. It's a part.
I liked Sabin as the keeper of Doubts. Whenever that demon was let loose, I always got this intense feeling. Like, if this were a movie the camera would zoom in on the target.

I don't know why I do it, but before I start a book, I sometimes think that I will be bored but I might as well finish the book so I can read about the next hero in line. Which is crazy considering that i think that this is the best LOTU so far.

So, this was more of a 4.5-star book for me, but since I love the series so much I bumped it up! This book had so much going on, but still it didn’t feel overwhelming. I really enjoyed the relationship between Gwen and Sabin, as well as how the both struggled with who they are and how they needed to change to be together. The harpies certainly add a new layer to the already interesting creatures in this world and I look forward to seeing them in action in future books! On a final note, can I jus

Would have given it a 5 star if the ending was better... I didn't expect to like Sabin as much as Reyes, but he came through!
