I've been struggling with this review since yesterday, trying to figure out why this book didn't earn a 5-star rating from me. I loved Riley, I liked Mercy, I enjoyed the plot and the new developments in the series' story arc - especially the introduction of Bowen, a new secondary character with all the signs of a future hero - and, last but not least, Hawke (oh, how I love thee!) had some major scenes that had me drooling all over the pages. So what was "wrong" with this latest installment in t

5 stars – Paranormal Romance
Nalini Singh delivers yet another exceptional addition to the superb Psy-Changeling series. I’ve read all of the six (currently released) books in the series over the past couple of weeks, and it’s amazing that they keep getting better each time and that there are still so many wondrous possibilities for the future. One of the main things that makes this series so fantastic is the terrific balance of unique, spellbinding world building and steamy, sensual romance betw ...more

Good read. The latest in the Psy/Changeling books is another winner. We have seen Mercy and Riley dancing around each other in earlier books and in this one it finally comes to a head. An interesting study of dominance, what do you do when both players want to be on top? That's tough enough - but both of them are savagely loyal to their packs - and expect that accepting the mating bond will force one of them to leave theirs... The Psy/Changeling/Human struggle continues to ramp up with the Allia

this is a partial review - am in the middle of too many things right now to do justice to a full review, so just posting my thoughts on Mercy and Riley
I got so-o-o frustrated with Mercy - both her grandmother and her mother were strong females who figured out how to still be a take-charge person and share a life with a mate, but Mercy was still convinced she had to go it alone because giving even a little bit would be disastrous. I did like the resolution Singh provided for the only real problem ...more

This is totally random, OK not random, but I had to get it off my chest. I really don't like the couple on the cover of this book. They look like a couple of high school kids playing at being sexy. For that alone, I took away one star. Mean, yes, but completely necessary.
That being said, can the heroes in this series get any more super delicious hot? Riley certainly lives up the standards set by the previous heroes from this series. He's tough, yet vulnerable in a really attractive way.

This book was great. Mercy and Riley's relationship was sizzlin hot. Nalini does such a wonderful job writing that I feel like I am in the stories and what better way to spend your night then cuddled up with a sexy growling wolf..lol

This was a good book. I like this world with it's very separate kinds of people. This book seemed to cement the alliance between the leopards and the wolves. It was fun to see both Mercy and Riley try to fight what they felt for each other and try to trivialize it. The interactions with their repsective packs and their ranking was interesting to watch especially as they realized how over their heads they were with each other. The long story battle going on really has started to heat up, and brou
