I loved everything about this book, starting with the yummy cover! Oh boy, I could stare at Nathan Kamp's lips for a lifetime!... ;)
Now, focusing on the story itself... Once again, KMM gave us a more-than-wonderful hero (Drustan MacKeltar) but, this time, she gave us an amazing heroine (Gwen Cassidy) who, I admit, I loved better than the hero. And that's something, because I adored Drustan! Gwen was intelligent, funny, feisty and determined; Drustan didn't really stand a chance with her. When sh ...more

Talk about a bad dream! Drustan went to sleep in 16th century Scotland and woke up 500 years later - but with a scantily-clad female draped over him, so how bad could it be?! Gwen, who's on vacation in Scotland and has inadvertently awakened the sleeping hunk, is a well-educated, intelligent woman who knows that time-travel is impossible and therefore wonders what to do with this gorgeous delusional man - until he kisses her, and then what can a smart gal do but humor him?! I wanted so much more for this story, but I was pleasantly surprised nontheless. Also enjoyed seeing Christian show up in the story as a little boy... looking forward to Daegus' story...

I felt like crying with Gwen when things started to happen and all of a sudden Drustan vehemently said that he didn't remember her and that he could not have caused what happened to her. The next part in the book again had me laughing as Gwen stalked Drustan, willing him to remember her and all that ha

I thought I would give this series a shot after I read somewhere that it ties in with the fever series and I am going crazy waiting for Shadowfever to be released. I'm glad I did, the story was fun and although they aren't directly related to the other series (yet?) they do take place in the same world.

I love this series. It is true you don't have to read them in order but it does help.
this story keeps you going from the time you pick it up till you put it down. I was actually sad when it ended. this is a must read for all.
