For much of Faefever, MacKayla Lane, Mac to you and me, spends her time deciding who to trust, who not to trust, avoiding the ancient book everyone seems to be after and avoiding Jerricho Barrons- her mentor and most difficult challenge. (Which made most of the book frustrating because I heart JZB.)
Mac has received a page from her sister's diary and she is certain its from the Lord Master- her sister's former lover and the one time fae determined to bring down the wall between realms... a thing ...more

Wow. I’m so glad I persevered with this series. You were all right. Mac does get better (much, much better!) and the series is shaping up to be awesome, just like you all said it was.
I’m completely and utterly invested in this story. I’m in awe of the author’s imagination and the way she has crafted this complex tale – so full of mystery, intrigue, suspense and action, not to mention the myriad twists and turns.
And Barrons. Ah Barrons. Has there ever been a more enigmatic character? Who ...more

Learning from my previous mistake of starting the next book before reviewing the one I completed, I am writing this review now. But, to be honest, I still don't think I can write a good review for this one. Especially since I am salivating for the next book.
The story continues, as Mac is trying to figure out who to trust and how to gather the information she needs. She still has Rowena as an enemy, but maintains a strange relationship with the other sidhe-seers - getting a little more info abou ...more

I can't believe that I was bragging this'd be my favorite of the series so far. No. I take it all back.
Aside from that, this is by far the most entertaining from the series so far. Great action, and Mac really develops from who we first met to someone different.

Whoa! Totally was not expecting that ending for the book! I don't know how I feel about it because on one hand I did not expect the story to go this way, but on the other I think it was a great twist on the series as a whole. I cannot wait to read the next installment, Dreamfever!

Thank God that I didn’t read this book when it first came out because at the end, there is a magnificently mind-blowing cliff-hanger that would have me cursing at the stars!!! The book was just so blazingly hot with all its seedy and courageous characters, each cavorting with their own agenda to adher to. We again encounter Mac, a null sidhe-seer, trying to find that damn dark book, The Sinsar Duhb, which causes excrutiating pain to her head while totally debilitating her powers when it is near.

Burned through this one in one afternoon. There are no slow spots, and Mac's world continues to grow steadily worse. The ending is a doozy, and I immediately rushed to download the 4th one.
Great series. Dark and disturbing and sticks with you. There's a few flashes of lightness in this one, though, which was nice to see rather than just GRIM GRIM GRIMMITY GRIM all the time. ...more

I love where she took us in this book and I love where she left us, but dammit, I don't have Dreamfever yet.
