KMM is probably my favorite author to date. Love, love, loved this book!

Wow. I’m so glad I persevered with this series. You were all right. Mac does get better (much, much better!) and the series is shaping up to be awesome, just like you all said it was.

I’m completely and utterly invested in this story. I’m in awe of the author’s imagination and the way she has crafted this complex tale – so full of mystery, intrigue, suspense and action, not to mention the myriad twists and turns.

I gave this book two stars as its a pretty boring book and the series seems to be heading towards an abysmal end. What I don't get is why people chose to give this a low rating purely due to (view spoiler) ...more

This book would have gotten a much higher rating if it wasn't for that ending. I can't remember when a book pissed me off more. :/ ...more

Thank God that I didn’t read this book when it first came out because at the end, there is a magnificently mind-blowing cliff-hanger that would have me cursing at the stars!!! Burned through this one in one afternoon. There are no slow spots, and Mac's world continues to grow steadily worse. The ending is a doozy, and I immediately rushed to download the 4th one.

Great series. Dark and disturbing and sticks with you. There's a few flashes of lightness in this one, though, which was nice to see rather than just GRIM GRIM GRIMMITY GRIM all the time.

I really enjoyed the first two books. I have no problem with the use of violence in the context of a storyline. But this one took things a little too far over the edge for me.
