I am liking this series a lot more than I expected to! Derek's battle with his humanity was rivoting to read. Vivienne impresses me and I now really want to learn more about her. Sadly Ben ticked me off a bit. He is WAY too possessive of Sophia and his trying to bed her to make her forever his crap was not okay. I mean, overall he is decent and cares for her but it is not very healthy overall. Then again, his pain and anger do not help. Basically, I liked the deeper levels this book takes with t

Even better than Book 1
I really like this cover! I read the first novel, Shade of Vampire, not very long ago and I found it pretty entertaining if a bit on the short side. A Shade of Blood however is a big improvement. A larger page count probably helped, but the world and characters have become more interesting and the story more complicated. I’m not completely sure where things can go from here.

loved it! There is finally some headboard banging but it's so chaste, I had to read it twice to get it. -although a maidenhead was breeched- that's the part I had to read twice- it says maidenhead as opposed to maidenhood. and then just to make sure you got it there are two mentions of blood on the sheets. I do wonder why the vampire doesn't get all excited about that- but then I reminded of a joke I once heard about lesbian vampires being really happy twice a month...

So I get to the end of this book and the shocker and I am contemplating if I want to move forward because I am going too fast through these books. SMH! I'm even thinking of joining Kindle Unlimited because this is going to get expensive. Grrrrr! So many twist, so many surprises. I love it!

This is one amazing book. I got some major shockers out of this one. This story pulls together perfectly, but beware of the cliffhanger ending. Once you finsh this book you will only want more. This is an amazing tale about a vampire, and human in love, but this is not your ordinary vampire novel, it is much to unique to be ordinary. This is one book I will never regret reading. I was hooked after the first book, but now I am thirsting for more, and glad I have the 3rd book on hand. The Shade ha
