This Jack Reacher book finds Reacher picked up hitchhiking in Texas by a woman who is looking for someone to help save her from her abusive husband who is due to be released from prison any day. Reacher agrees to try and help her but refuses to murder the husband. Shortly after the husband is released he ends up dead with the wife arrested for the crime. Can Reacher help the woman stay out of jail. Some nice twists and turns, good read.
Echo Burning is shorter than any other Reacher novel I have read.
Good story, quick read.
