Killing Floor is a solid Reacher novel but not the best out there. There are bad men in town led by a psychopath and his father. Reacher is made to be their fall guy which is their first mistake. The big ex MP does his signature head butt early on in the story. Reacher is pissed and then he becomes enraged in a cold & disciplined way. The first portion of the book was extremely engaging; addictively so. A fun read. He drew the main plot point out towards the end but it was an enjoyable book, especially given it was his first novel. The style and theme are right up my alley for casual reading and I'll likely read the whole series.

Lone incredibly competent badass strolls into town, kicks all sort of ass and solves all the problems.
This sort of story is fun and entertaining for what it is, with no pretensions of being anything more than that, Lee Child is very good at writing action, not soo good at writing dialogue (but this is the first book in the series, maybe it will pick up)
